This project was located in San Diego Bay and the work consisted of dredging and placing shoreline rock revetment at the site of a proposed new marina. The 69,000 cubic yards of dredging was performed using a 6 cy clamshell dredge to load a 1500 cy dump scow for disposal at sea. The shoreline slopes were trimmed and the 17,000 tons of rock revetment was placed using a large excavator. This dredging was difficult because of the hard native materials and the requirement for a shallow cut over a wide area.
